Restaurant operating platform

The operating platform underneath a multi-unit restaurant business.

Nexora sits between the systems you already run — POS, payroll, vendors — and the people who need one consistent answer from them: sales, labour, inventory and profit and loss, on the same data model, for every store.

The gap it closes

Three weeks late is the default, not the exception

Most operators learn their prime cost about three weeks after the period it describes — by the time every shift has been worked and every case of chicken used. An operating platform's whole purpose is to close that gap: the same figures, available while a manager can still change the outcome, not after.

Questions

What operators ask about this

What is a restaurant operating platform?

A restaurant operating platform is the layer that sits between the systems already running a restaurant — the point of sale, the staff schedule, the vendor invoices — and the people who have to make decisions from them. It does not replace any of those systems; it reads them and produces one consistent picture across every location.

How is an operating platform different from management software?

In practice the terms overlap. Nexora uses “operating platform” to emphasise that the product runs alongside daily operations — schedule health, overtime exposure and events happening near a store this week — rather than only producing a report after the period closes.

Does an operating platform replace my POS or payroll provider?

No. Nexora is not a point-of-sale system, not a payroll provider and not a general-ledger accounting package. It reads an existing point of sale, prices the schedule against it, reconciles purchases and expenses, and produces a store-level profit and loss. Most customers keep their existing POS, payroll provider and accountant.
